About Better Vegan
Better Vegan eating philosophy promotes clean anti-inflammatory plant-based foods that are gluten free, refined sugar free, contain no or minimal amounts of processed foods and taste great. We also pay attention to proper food paring and the order in which you eat your food, like not combining protein and starch, eating fruit on an empty stomach, eating lighter to heavier, etc.
Following these principles, we develop our own recipes, improve existing ones and share great recipes from other sources. All of them are tested in our kitchen, and many are approved by independent tasters.
Great taste is very important to us since it is our strong believe that the foods we consume should taste good and not just be fuels for our brains and bodies. Even if the certain food is super-healthy, but not tasty, we will not publish the recipe on our website, because who would want to eat it anyway, right? For that reason, ALL our recipes are tested before being published and many are changed to achieve health or taste objectives outlined above. Here is a short list of our main recipe guidelines:

Additionally, we always try to incorporate anti-inflammatory foods whenever possible to increase the health benefits of our dishes, as well as eliminate any inflammatory ingredients to the best of our ability.

Just a few years ago, if you told me that I would stop eating meat and most of other animal products, I would never have believed you. I was a real carnivore, frequenting the local butcher store and eating red meat 2-3 times a week. I was also struggling with weight gain, skin issues, fatigue, low energy, digestion issues, frequent headaches, ravaging sinus infections and many other issues that I don’t even want to talk about. I knew I had to do something different to make things better.
Shortly after that realization, I came across a book by Kimberly Snyder called The Beauty Detox Solution. I started reading it and learned a lot about how the foods we eat affect our health and the way we look, and how easily we can change it by adjusting our diets. The principles of Beauty Detox Solutions made a lot of sense, but being an empirical skeptic, I had to see it to believe it. I started to gradually implement these principles into my lifestyle and was amazed with the results. I lost a lot of weight, my skin improved a lot, I have energy, I don’t remember last time when I had a headache – the list goes on and on. Now I am a 99.99% vegan and I look and feel better than ever. I also started doing yoga and became a serious and committed yoga practitioner.
