Paksh Novelty 1-Gallon Glass Jar Wide Mouth with Airtight Plastic Lid - USDA Approved BPA-Free Dishwasher Safe Mason Jar for Fermenting, Kombucha, Kefir, Storing and Canning Uses, Clear (4 Pack)

I personally use these gallon jars for my fermenting, because I eat a lot of sauerkraut and I like to share it with friends. They work great for larger batches and fit perfectly in refrigerator.

EASY-BUSY Kitchen Combo of Ball 32 oz.-Quart Clear Glass Mason Canning Jar, With EB White Food Storage Plastic Lids Set of 2, Wide Mouth Caps fit WM Ball & Kerr jars & Containers, Reusable, BPA Free

I prefer to use the jars with BPA-Free plastic lids, because they don't rust. Besides, wide-mouth jars are easier to fill when making sauerkraut, and you can use them for many other purposes as well.

These cute little jars are the perfect size and shape

for gifts and give-away. I use those for testers for sauerkraut, but you can also put other things like jams, jelly, nut butters, candied nuts, etc.

Debbie Meyer GreenBags - 30 Bags Combo (12 Medium +10 Large +8 XL) - 3 Sets of Freshness-Preserving Food/Flower Storage Bags

If you eat a lot of vegetables (and I assume you do if you are a vegan), keeping them fresh can be a challenge. These bags are the perfect solution! They preserve the freshness and prolong the life of produce and cut flower. They are also made out of BPA-free plastic. I use them for years and love them!

Debbie Meyer 32 Piece UltraLite GreenBoxes - Green

These green containers work just as well as the green bags - they keep food fresh for longer than the average storage container. You can use then for fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, crakers or any other food. They are also BPA-free making food storage safe and reliable.

Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver Food Storage Container, Large, 17.3 Cup, Green 1920479

I haven't tried this container yet, but I am really tempted to. First of all, it's large and can hold large amounts of greens, which I use a lot for salads and smoothies. You can keep unwashed and uncut produce there, which works best for me. It is BPA-free and it has great reviews on Amazon - most people really love it. I think it will be my next purchase...

If you want to make your own fermented foods, having good quality glass jars is a must. Glass is durable and safe making your food free of chemicals that can leach from the plastic and preventing unwanted bacterial growth. I do recommend plastic BPA-free lids, because they don't rust and are easier to handle.
